Just heard theres been a shooting in my hometown of Burntwood, in the chasetown area!
No official news yet but according to local residents theres been two shot and one dead.
It happened near the cottage pub at a house on the corner with the ‘for sale’ sign by meadway street.
Shooters apparently waited for the kids to go to school at around 8:30 then with the kids out of the way shot the guy dead. The people have only lived there around 12 months and appears drugs related. Also mentions of a black vehicle being involved.
All of the above is from locals and no official news story as of yet. Will update when know any more.

This is now also thought to be a violent act in retaliation to a man who was tortured over chasewater last week, a drug addict who was unable to pay his debts.

Hi, I live in Chasetown and have heard similar to you. I heard a corsa with 2 men arrived at the house on Meadway and shot one guy dead. I heard it was drug related and that he was under police protection not sure if he assisted it grassing on local druggies. If this is true then what a shame.
All I can say is sympathy goes to his partner and 2 kids.
Yes sympathy definitely goes out to all family and friends.
Although it is difficult to believe something like this was’nt provoked. People don’t tend to just waltz into a house and shoot someone without a reason. Not a nice thing to happen either way, lets hope they catch those responbsible.
a letter has been sent home with the kids at ridgeway saying the offender is no longer in the attachement area and that it is an ongoing investigation with another police force and thatt there is noting to be worried about
